- Polish biographical film of 1979 directe d by Wanda Jakubowska, on the novel by Tadeusz Hołuj - The Rose and the burning forest. Film in the form of a flashback shows ima ges from the life of Louis Warynskiego. It begins with a Russian general meeting of the gendarmerie Orżewskiego with Waryńskim in 1889, the fortress in Szlisselburgu. Orżewski offers leniency in exchange for the signature of a prisoner condemned terrorist actions. In his memoirs Waryriski returns to the activity of student traffic in St. Petersburg, to come to Warsaw and the organization of workers in the factory Lilpoppa.
